Museo Astronomico e Geofisico
The Astronomical and Geophysical Museum of Modena was founded in 1826, by decree of Duke Francesco IV d'Este. The Museum represents an example of scientific study from the period from 1820 to 1920, hosting ancient astronomical, meteorological and geophysical instruments. Newtonian telescopes from the nineteenth century were used in the same premises. Currently, the museum is closed for restoration.
